CakeNest respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share information when you use the CakeNest mobile application, website, and related services.

We may collect information you provide directly, including your name, email address, phone number, delivery address, profile details, bakery details, order details, custom request details, product listings, photos, messages, support requests, and payout-related information for sellers. We may also collect device information, app usage information, notification tokens, and approximate or precise location data if you allow it.

We use your information to operate and improve CakeNest, create and manage accounts, process orders and custom cake requests, show nearby sellers, support pickup and delivery features, send notifications, provide customer support, maintain trust and safety, prevent fraud, review disputes, and comply with legal obligations.

If you enable location features, CakeNest may use your saved address or device location to show nearby bakers, improve search results, estimate service areas, and support delivery-related features. You can update or remove saved location information inside the app.

If you register as a seller, we may collect business information such as bakery name, service area, availability, product details, pricing, payout setup details, order fulfillment information, and seller profile content. Some seller information may be shown to buyers to operate the marketplace.

Payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. and may also be completed through Apple Pay. CakeNest does not store full payment card numbers or Apple Pay credentials on its own servers. When you pay using Apple Pay, your actual card number is not shared with CakeNest or sellers — Apple Pay uses a device-specific token. CakeNest uses Google Firebase for account authentication (email/password and sign-in services), real-time database, cloud storage, and push notifications. Firebase may collect device identifiers, IP addresses, usage data, and other technical information as part of these services. Firebase operates under Google's privacy policy, available at firebase.google.com/support/privacy.

The CakeNest website (cakenestapp.com) may use cookies or similar technologies for session management, analytics, and security. The CakeNest mobile app does not use browser cookies, but may use device identifiers, analytics SDKs, and notification tokens for app functionality. You can manage cookie preferences through your browser settings.

We may share information with service providers that help us operate CakeNest, including hosting, analytics, cloud storage, notifications, mapping, customer support, and payment processing partners. We may also share information where necessary for order fulfillment, seller-buyer communication, fraud prevention, trust and safety reviews, legal compliance, or business transfers.

CakeNest may review and retain order records, support messages, timestamps, listing details, refund requests, and issue reports to investigate disputes, food safety complaints, allergic reaction reports, fraud concerns, or repeated marketplace violations.

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide CakeNest, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce our agreements, maintain safety records, and keep business and security logs.

You may update certain account information inside the app. You may disable notifications in device settings. You may remove saved address or location details from the app. You may request account deletion or data-related assistance by contacting CakeNest support at support@cakenestapp.com. Depending on your location, you may also have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal data under applicable privacy law.

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

CakeNest is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without appropriate authorization where required by law.

If you access CakeNest from outside the country where our services are operated, your information may be transferred to and processed in other jurisdictions where data protection laws may differ.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we may revise the Last Updated date and post the updated version inside the app.
